A 4kW system generates around 3,400 kWh a year on average - roughly what a typical UK home uses. With 0% VAT until March 2027 and typical payback of 9 to 13 years (Energy Saving Trust), solar pays back three ways: power you use, power you export, and less exposure to price rises.
Every home uses electricity differently, so we don't quote the same system to everyone. We look at your roof, how you use power and what's coming next (maybe an EV? a heat pump?), then design the system around your needs.
Your panels turn daylight into electricity all year round and every proposal shows exactly how much your roof is expected to generate.
Battery & Export
A battery stores the electricity your panels generate in the day so you can use it in the evening, instead of exporting it and buying power back later. We size and price it as a clear option in your proposal.
During the day, your panels power the home and top up the battery. Any extra can be exported.
Daylight becomes electricity on your roof.
Your appliances draw first from your own power.
Extra units go to the grid, and your supplier pays you.
When your panels generate more than your home needs and your battery or batteries are fully charged, the surplus is exported to the grid, and your supplier pays you for each unit under the Smart Export Guarantee. This means you can apply for the SEG tariff that suits you.
Both are covered in your estimate and confirmed in your final system design - clear numbers, in writing.

This means your panels, battery and charger can be planned together from day one, helping you make better use of the electricity your system produces.
Ask about EV charging on your solar call and we'll include it in your estimate.
Your EV charger can be fitted alongside your solar system, avoiding a separate visit later.
Charge when your panels are generating or when electricity rates are lower.

Every unit your home runs on solar is one you don't buy from the grid. The more you use at home, especially with a battery storing daytime generation for evening, the greater the saving.

Surplus electricity can be exported to the grid under the Smart Export Guarantee. Your supplier credits you for each exported unit, on top of what you save by using your own power.
SEG tariffs and rates are set by your chosen supplier.

Highly competent work, from initial design to installation. We had an air source heat pump, solar panels and extensive insulation installed. Large teams of skilled tradespeople arrived in planned succession. Work was completed within agreed timescales. Problems, where they arose, were quickly resolved. They even painted after completing the work!
I contacted my local MP Elwyn Vaughn who gave me the name of a company to contact, who then put me in touch with Complete Remedial Solutions in Bridgend. This company got the system up and running today Wednesday 29/05/2024. The manager Rui and the electricians Mike and Mathew who I would recommend to anyone needing a heating upgrade installation, have been absolutely first class in their care and work. I can't thank you enough guys. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.
Very helpful, friendly and reliable. I used CRS in spring 2023 to do a fairly big retrofit including installing an Air Source Heat Pump, completely new 'wet' central heating system and a small solar panel array. Keith and the team were really helpful and friendly throughout and although there were a few hiccups and delays for various reasons, they kept communicating with me which really helped, until it was all completed. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.
